Detailed description of Par Line Golf Course
Par Line Golf Course is a Par 72 Championship length golf course located in South Central Pennsylvania, 15 miles from Harrisburg, and 10 miles from Hershey. It is a picturesque course on rolling hills with farmland views, ponds, creeks and wildlife preservation areas. It was laid out by designer Roy Sauder. There is water coming into play on four holes, and many sand bunkers were incorporated into the course's design. The course plays 6465 yards from the championship tees (Rating 70.4/slope 121), 6200 yards from the men's tees (rating 68.7/slope 119), 5435 yards from the senior tees (rating 67.3,slope 112), and 4793 yards from the women's tees (rating 65.7, slope 111).

Par Line is a quirky golf course with power lines disecting the first fairway (hence the name). It is easily the least expensive course in the York / Lancaster area, and yet it is always maintained at a high level. I played in January, and the greens were smooth and fast. The pro shop personnel are friendly and accomodating. The course features many dog legs and short, risk / reward holes. It has a couple of big boy par 5's, measuring 580+ from the whites. It is fairly challenging, but also has bail out areas for less experienced golfers. I will definitely play there again.
